Black history month
What is Black History Month and why is it so important? We’ll investigate why it started and the continued issues that face people because of the colour of their skin.
We’ll learn about important black men and women throughout history. The children will create their own fact files about a chosen historical figure.
Today we will focus on the black history of Great Britain from the first recorded black members of society (Tudor times) up to today.
We will be discussing what equality means and making posters to promote the campaign Black Lives Matter.
